A Royal wedding inspired souvenir you will actually want to buy – BECCA Royal Glow Highlighter

BECCA cosmetics are now available in John Lewis and they are celebrating the launch with a new Highlighter, the Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed Highlighter Royal Glow just on time for the Royal Wedding!

Whether your a fan of Meghan and Harry, or just a fan of highlighter, you will not be disappointed with this amazing, limited edition pressed, warm golden highlighter which is infused with pink pearl. Inspired by the mystique and beauty of the United Kingdom’s Crown Jewels which is pressed on the powder, this highlighter will make your skin pop and glisten like solid gold.

I have heard so much about BECCA’s highlighter’s and illuminators so I am so excited to be reviewing such an exciting product for them. Above is a close up image of the highlighter swatch at the back of my hand. It’s a solid metallic colour as apposed to a more glittery highlighter, so applying it takes a lot more sweeps of a fan brush or a damp beauty blender. I have a problem with my skin at the moment so I used a small beauty blender. After what felt like a heavy duty application, the highlighter still looked subtle, even for my standards, so I applied many layers which I am sure would reduce if you were using a fan. The powder blends into the skin and looks smooth and subtle, compared to lots of other highlighters on the market that sit on top of the makeup and make your application look stripy.

I applied it to my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose, but t can also be applied to your brow bone and cupids bow. The result is the image above which is a non filtered image. The highlighter on my medium tone skin looked gold so I couldn’t see any of the pinky pearl but it still looked great and stayed in place all day.
